Artiz 10 mg 10 tablets belongs to a group of drugs called antihistamines. These medicines help to relieve the symptoms of some allergies. This medicine is used to relieve: •symptoms of hayfever and other allergies such as sneezing, runny nose and burning, itchy eyes •symptoms of skin allergies such as rash, itching or urticaria (hives).

Caution
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine if you:
Have renal problem
Have epilepsy or are at risk of convulsions.
Have predisposition factor of urinary retention (e.g. spinal cord lesion or prostatic hyperplasia) as cetirizine increases the risk of urinary retention.
Avoid alcoholic drink while you are taking this medicine.
How to Use
Food does not affect the absorption of the drug
Tablets need to be swallowed with a full glass of water
For adults & children above 12 years: the recommended dose is 1 tablet at bedtime
For children 6 - 12 years: the recommended dose is .5 - 1 tablet at bedtime
For children below 6 years: not preferred
Doses may be changed in special conditions so always follow your doctor's or pharmacist's instructions.
If you take more than you should, talk to a doctor or go to the hospital straight away.
If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember it unless it is nearly time for your next dose.
Do not take a double dose (two doses at the same time) to make up for the forgotten dose.
